Since UK-AIH began in 2015, we have recruited over 2300 patients across 56 sites in the UK. This is a huge achievement and our thanks go to our fantastic sites for all of their support.

The 1st phase of the study has come to an end but we have just re-opened and hope that many more patients will want to join UK-AIH. This phase of UK-AIH is a simplified model. There are no longer any blood tests or questionnaires for participants.

You have been invited to take part in this research study because you have been diagnosed with autoimmune hepatitis (AIH). If you are interested in participating in the study, please complete the 'Expression of Interest' form

When the study team in Newcastle receive your form, they will send you an email with an electronic link that will take you to the recruitment pack that includes the Participant Information Sheet (PIS) and online Informed Consent Form (ICF).

Please note that contacting the study team does not mean you have agreed to take part in the study. It is simply an expression of interest. You can make your final decision after you have received the recruitment pack. If you decide not to participate the study, this will not affect your future medical care.
